Christmas Food Drive 2017

Published: Thursday 04 January 2018 by CMPP

Following the success of last year’s Christmas Food Drive, CMPP partners embarked on their third Christmas food collection for the Farnborough Foodbank. The collection helps some of the most deprived families and individuals living in the community.

An incredible 1055kgs of canned and tinned items, selection boxes, toiletries and baby products were donated! This included toilet rolls, nappies, toothbrushes, can openers, loads of feminine hygiene products, ladies and gents toiletries, children’s scarves and hats, yummy chocolate advent calendars, an abundance of Christmas puddings and more mince pies than you could throw a stick at (and so much more)!

Jenna Grant, CMPP Project Coordinator and Operations Manager, said: “Thank you to everyone who got involved in the Christmas Food Drive. Incredible amounts of items have been donated yet again! It’s been wonderful to be involved with such an amazing drive. To see the sheer volume of items donated from caring local companies is amazing; teamwork really does make 'dreamwork'.”

Steve Lee of FDR Promotions, an Associate Partner of CMPP, said: “It’s very humbling how local businesses can work together to provide much needed food and items, that most of us take for granted, for local people in need.”

Colin from Farnborough Foodbank, said: “I’m happy to report the Grand Total donated under CMPP was 1055.00kgs! What a wonderful response, thank you at all involved through CMPP! We wish you a Peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
