Farnborough Business Park have had a busy time lately with events, fundraising and donations! Here's what they've been up to….
Farnborough Business Park (FBP) hold weekly Yoga sessions on Fridays and monthly Barbers appointments for occupiers to attend. The providers of these sessions kindly donate £1 from every attendee. The money is then collected and regularly given to CMPP for the Youth Aspirations Fund (YAF).
Joy Cross from HRG helped organised a fundraising event, 'The London O2 Walk' which Farnborough Business Park, amongst other partners attended. The aim of our intrepid climbers was to raise funds for the CMPP YAF Fund. FBP staff from Reception, CJH Cleaning and Red Hat took part in our Up and Over the O2 event and raised a total of £450.
Back in October the grounds maintenance team 'Nurture' hosted a Pumpkin Carving event for FBP occupiers. There were some great creations and a total of £60 from generous donations was raised for the YAF.
Throughout November, tenants at FBP contributed car loads to CMPP's annual Food Drive for Farnborough Foodbank. A tremendous amount was donated through FBP, in particular Red Hat and Barons BMW who donated a vast amount of food, nappies, toilet rolls, toiletries etc. Barons BMW provided vehicles and helped FBP to deliver the items to the CMPP hub for distribution.
Deborah Hayhoe from FBP organised a Quiz Night hosted by FBP in November. The money raised was used to buy lots of toiletries etc. which we donated to the women’s refuge. In addition to the toiletries collected, Deborah also went out of her way to ensure that Farnborough Foodbank had enough specialised items in the forms of advent calendars and dog food!
In early December FBP's grounds maintenance team 'Nurture' hosted a Christmas Wreath making event for their occupiers. There were some beautiful festive creations and they raised £437 which again was donated to CMPP for the Youth Aspirations Fund.
FBP also organised a Christmas Market for their occupiers. This was held in The Hub with a great variety of gifts and treats on offer. The stallholders kindly made a donation for their pitch and £200 was raised!
The final activity of the year was the CMPP Toy & Gift Drive. Once again, businesses at Farnborough Business Park took part in this very worthwhile cause. FBP Facilities, Red Hat, Fiscal Reps and Barons BMW were among the companies who generously donated gifts. Barons BMW provided a vehicle and helped staff from the Business Park to take the donations to CMPP office. The gifts were then sorted and distributed to children and teenagers in the local area.
Deborah Hayhoe, Senior Receptionist at Farnborough Business Park, said: "It is great to know that we helped to make some children’s Christmas a bit more special."
These events alone have raised over £1,000 which is just part of Farnborough Business Parks annual contribution! This is all made possible by their occupiers taking part so a massive thank you to everyone who participated in fundraising and donations.
