On Thursday 14th June a group of volunteers from BMW revisited Sandringham Infant School to help improve their outside areas, ready for the summer term.
Sandringham Infant School is an inclusive school that recognises all children learn and develop in different ways. Their main aim is to be a happy community where all children feel relaxed and secure.
Unfortunately, the outside play areas do become worn and used, a gentle reminder that children before them have enjoyed the facilities too.
The school applied for a Give & Get day to help tidy and clean up the areas, and bring back to life some pots, plants and benches, which are used for both lessons and play. The volunteers got straight to work chopping back weeds, clearing paths and painting the wooden structures and benches.
The nice new coating of fresh paint makes the school look pleasant and friendly - a place where their pupils can feel secure and relaxed.
The transformation was incredible, and the school (both staff, pupils and parents) are delighted with their sparkling playground!
