In July 2017, Nurture Landscapes and Red Hat were kind enough to donate their time to helping Cove School rejuvenate their Rose Garden.
Nurture were first on the scene to identify what needed to be done. The team used their skillset to clear the garden area of weeds and treated the soil ready for Red Hat to come in and plant new flowers and roses.
The day worked brilliant for both the school and organisations, providing a brilliant team building opportunity, whilst the school and children were able to benefit from the new and fresh grounds!
"Great to be involved in something that many children will enjoy well into the future!" - Shelley Foskett, Red Hat UKI, Inside Sales Representative/Partner Account Manager - SI Team
"It was really enjoyable and structured...you were immediately allocated a task on arrival with the necessary tools." - Liezl Newman, Sales Operations Analyst
"I thoroughly enjoyed being part of the volunteering gardening afternoon. It felt good to be doing something which was helping the local community but it was also an opportunity for me to do something which I wouldn't usually do and also I always enjoy being outside and in the fresh air! I do hope I can help out and be part of future volunteering opportunities - I am really keen to help where I can." - Alexandra Williams, UKI TAM, Public Sector
Once again, a huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time to bring some colour back to the Rose Garden!
