On 21 April 2017, a group of volunteers from the HR department at BMW UK went to The Wavell School to help tidy up their main entrance.
Having nice clean outdoor spaces for children to play in is extremely important for schools. It good for children to be out playing in fresh air and have a nice relaxing environment away from the classroom on their lunch break.
After a quick briefing from the school, volunteers got to work tidying up the areas, removing leaves and debris from the walkways and paths, sweeping up excess mud and power spraying paths to get them sparkling for summer! The results were tremendous and have left pupils, staff and parents happy.
John Forbes, Headteacher at The Wavell School, said: “Thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help us! Not only has the project benefited the ground maintenance it has given an overall impression of care and a quality working environment to students and visitors.”
Once again, a huge thank you to everyone who gave up their time to spring clean the grounds of Wavell!
