Twilight Runway Challenge 2021

The popular Twilight Runway Challenge returns on Saturday 11th September, encouraging people to get active whilst helping to raise money for a charitable cause in the local community.  Participants can run, walk, cycle, scoot or skateboard along 3km, 5km or 10km of the airstrip of Blackbushe Airport, taking part for fun or supporting their chosen charity.

This annual sporting event has proven to be enjoyable for the whole family (from ages 8+) and each year it helps to raise thousands for local causes.

Organised by CMPP, the Twilight Runway Challenge attracts a wide variety of participants, from people looking to get fit, beating a personal best, taking part in fancy dress or having fun with friends, family or colleagues.

Tracy Jarvis states “CMPP is all about community and collaboration, and our Twilight Runway Challenge embodies this.  We are proud that this flagship fundraising event helps to raise vital funds for charities across Surrey and Hampshire.”

The event is fortunate to have a diverse array of charity partners, such as – Aerobility, Frimley Health Charity, Hart Voluntary Action, Home-Start Hampshire, The Hope Hub, Mane Chance Sanctuary, The Meath Epilepsy Charity, Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care and The Vine Centre, to name a few!

Helen Jackson from The Meath Epilepsy Charity revealsWe have really missed being able to fundraise through community fundraising activities, both in terms of the welcome funds that they bring in but also for helping us to maintain a high profile and keep in people’s hearts and minds.  We are delighted to be a charity partner of this event which will help make a positive impact on the lives of people we support.”

The event would not be possible without generous sponsors, which covers the event costs and enables 100% of fundraising to go to local causes.  Ian Dawkins is the Managing Director of Hi-Speed Services, a family run business delivering logistical services.  “It is with such pleasure and pride to be a sponsor of this fantastic fundraising event.  Our values have always had the local community at their core and we understand the importance of giving back, which is even more vital in these current challenging times”.
