Aldershot Enterprise Centre partners with CMPP to support the Rushmoor Community

Community Matters Partnership Project (CMPP), is delighted to announce that the Aldershot Enterprise Centre, the first one-stop centre for Aldershot’s entrepreneurs, start-ups and growing businesses, has joined the organisation as a new business partner.

The Aldershot Enterprise Centre at Mandora House, Aldershot, was established by WSX Enterprise in Autumn 2014. The former officer’s mess was converted into affordable, serviced office space equipped with the latest technology, in collaboration with Hampshire County Council, Enterprise M3, Aldershot North Camp, and developers, Grainger’s.  It provides onsite assistance, 24-hour security and office access, networking events, training and workshops, hot desking, permanent private office space, meeting room hire, free parking, and an onsite café.  Mandora House was built in 1895 and named after the Battle of Mandora, fought in Egypt during the Napoleonic War in 1801, to commemorate Wellington’s victory.  Until 1995, it was used by Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps.

Commenting on joining the Community Matters Partnership Project, the Centre’s Manager, Lorna Oldham, said: “CMPP is perfect for us. Here at Aldershot Enterprise Centre we are a community. We have always encouraged our tenants and guests to help each other to grow, and to support local charities. When we found CMPP, we were so happy to find an organisation sharing the same ethos. We look forward to working with CMPP partners to support our community.”
