On 3rd September, the Complaints and Quality Audit team took part in a Community Action Day at The Starburst Theatre Academy (STA), in Aldershot UK. The event was organised by our partners, The Community Matters Partnership Project (CMPP), a dynamic and exciting corporate volunteer charity who bring together local businesses in order to deliver volunteer days in the community.
The team arrived promptly for 9am and swiftly started work restoring The Academy ready for its opening. The team were tasked with painting rooms, decorating the front porch area, cleaning windowsills and laying carpets. Refuelled with a pizza lunch, the team worked incredibly hard and managed to transform several rooms for The Academy.
The Starburst Theatre Academy offers a range of art and performance classes for children and adults who have a passion for dance, acting and musical theatre. The non-for-profit Academy offers classes to adults and children from different backgrounds and experiences, helping those who are less advantaged. It’s a fantastic project and a great opportunity for people to come together and develop their skills through the medium of dance and song.
Louise Town, Complaints Manager at Aetna International commented “It was an honour to be involved in the renovation work and support our local community. We had a brilliant day and enjoyed the opportunity to bond as a team outside of the work environment. Thank you to CMPP for organising a thoughtful Community Action Day”
Thank YOU Aetna for volunteering your time and doing such a fantastic job on this amazing community project!
