CMPP Community Action Day with BMW and Horsell Common Preservation Society

Published: Monday 09 December 2019 by CMPP

The team from BMW helped maintain a rare habitat as part of the Special Protection Area for Wildlife. They removed scrub that was encroaching over rare heathland and they created an area where rare birds can nest and help many other species to thrive again.

Rachel Jones, Senior Ranger at Horsell Common said "Despite very cold weather a great effort was made to get as much done as possible. We are grateful for all the work carried out on both days, helping us towards our environmental goals."

Emma Thompson, Community Action Day Co-ordinator at CMPP said "Thank you so much to the Marketing team at BMW for taking on this Community Action Day, what fantastic team work! Maintaining the common is a huge task for the society and so we were really pleased to be able to put together this event for BMW to give back and Horsell Common to get much needed help"
