The day was organised by CMPP’s Community Action Day Coordinator. Pirbright School applied for corporate volunteers through the CMPP website which then enabled CMPP to place the corporate volunteers with them.
The volunteers got straight to work which included, laying concrete slabs around the newly lined pond, general tidying of the nature area, creating a soak away for the sink area and boot washing area, building rabbit hutches, constructing stock fencing and finally transporting materials around the school grounds.
Daniel Jones, Director at Dynavics said: “We had a great day yesterday with Dan and the team at Pirbright helping to do fencing, Slab laying, digging and general clearing”
Dan Smith, teacher and project leader at Pirbright Village School said: “Dan, Sam and Kieron were really practical and came prepared for the day. Sam came all the way from Swindon! They were really hard-working and had a can-do attitude to every task. They helped put the build back on schedule! Dynavics were a great team! Their input to the project made such a difference! Thank you!”
Emma Thompson, CMPP Community Action Day Coordinator said: “Thank you so much to the volunteers from Dynavics, its amazing what great work can be achieved with only three people! You have made such a big difference to this project. Thank you also to Pirbright School for inviting CMPP to help you with this project, we can’t wait to see the Nature Farm when it is finally open”
