Lent Food Drive

Published: Friday 24 March 2017 by CMPP

It’s that time of year again where partners of CMPP are tasked to raise as much food and toiletries sa they can for Farnborough Foodbank.

Following the success of the Christmas Food Drive, which gave over 1 tonne of food to local individuals and families, CMPP decided to run another Food Drive, this time for Lent. It’s really easy to get involved and will leave you feeling with a sense of reward and achievement!

As well as the usual tinned and dried goods such as sugar, tinned rice pudding, tinned fruit, sponge puddings, packets of custard, tinned spaghetti, tinned pies, jars of coffee (small), instant mashed potato, jars of jam, tinned ham, tinned salmon, packet of wrapped chocolate, selection boxes (of biscuits and chocolates), savoury items (e.g. pringles, nuts and raisins, crisps) (all with reasonable sell by dates) you might like to consider some of the following:

  • Easter Eggs
  • Toilet roll
  • Sanitary towels and tampons
  • Tin openers
  • Disposable Nappies
  • Toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, deodorant)
  • Baby food

One can, two can, who can? YOU CAN.

Get involved and share the loaves and love this Lent!

Please donate items directly to Farnborough Foodbank or if it’s easier, bring them to The Sixth Form College Farnborough where CMPP is based.
